02. High Flame-Retardant Wires and Cables

Currently, most flame-retardant cables produced domestically are Class C and Class B, while Class A flame-retardant cables are still under development. This is significantly different from the actual needs of many high-quality engineering projects in my country. The future development direction is to achieve Class A flame-retardant performance for complete sets of matching wires and cables.

03. Fiber Optic Composite Overhead Ground Wire (OPGW)

Fiber optic composite overhead ground wires have multiple functions such as communication, remote control and telemetry, and data transmission, and are suitable for the management automation of 110 to 500 kV high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage overhead transmission lines.

04. Nuclear Power Plant Wires and Cables

Nuclear power plant cables have extremely stringent technical performance requirements for halogen-free, low-smoke, and low-toxicity properties. Currently, there are 276 nuclear power plants worldwide, generating a total of 343,792 megawatt-hours, accounting for 17% of global electricity generation. More than 10 of these nuclear power plants account for 25% of their respective countries' or regions' total electricity generation, indicating enormous development potential. Therefore, cables used in nuclear power plants have a promising market outlook.

05. Ribbon Optical Cables
Overseas companies are focusing on developing thin-layer, high-core-count user-grade optical cables. 1000-core technology is nearing maturity, and we are currently developing 2000-4000 core and over 6000 core optical cables. Although China started later in this field, its development has been rapid, and further vigorous promotion is needed to meet the demands of information superhighway construction projects.

06. Broadband and LAN Cables for Intelligent Buildings
This product also possesses multiple signal functions, such as transmitting telephone, fax, video telephone, and burglar alarm signals, and is also known as electronic cables. Currently, this product accounts for over 20% of all insulated cables in the United States. With the rapid development of intelligent buildings, the computer industry, and information superhighway projects in my country, the demand for this type of cable will continue to grow.

07. High-Performance Winding Wire
Class B polyester enameled wire still accounts for 90% of the domestic enameled wire market, while in Japan, this proportion has dropped to below 30%. Meanwhile, compared with similar foreign products, domestic products lag behind in terms of size control and performance indicators. Future technological development should focus on high-performance, multi-layer composite structures, and miniature enameled wires.

08. Submersible Pump Cable
High-temperature resistant submersible pump cables are supporting products for oil pumps. With the booming development of the Northwest Oilfield and the deepening exploration of old oilfields, the high-temperature resistance requirements for submersible pump cables are increasing. Domestic production capacity has developed rapidly, but there are still gaps in product quality and service life. In the future, efforts should be focused on improving product quality and developing submersible pump wires and cables with higher temperature resistance ratings.

In the future, the economic landscape will continue to change, and the cable industry is also facing development and progress. Perhaps the "industrial consolidation" that was hyped a decade ago is the way to break the deadlock. In recent years, investment and construction in the power sector have continued to grow, driving related industries into a new stage of leapfrog development. Looking to the future, China's wire and cable industry will surely embark on a new journey with a brand-new attitude.
